In her 25th year as one of the most outspoken and widely recognized members of San Francisco's Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence, Sister Roma, 'the most photographed nun in the world', has been nominated to be San Francisco's Grand Marshal of pride this year.
As an active and influential member of the San Francisco (and beyond) LGBTQ community, Sister Roma has helped to raise over $1M dollars in her fight against HIV/AIDS, homophobia and equal rights. I've only had a little bit of face to face time with Roma, but sometimes that's all it takes, when I heard she was up in the poll I immediately cast my vote.... and...
